Leslie Lookout Park will be a new destination in Toronto’s Port Lands located on the Martin Goodman Trail at the entrance to Tommy Thompson Park. The park will include a public beach, distinguished by forested dunes that will create a new multi-use community destination in Toronto’s east end. Leslie Lookout is North America’s biggest Miyawaki forest. The project is designed to act as a sponge including novel use of porous asphalt.Acting as a veritable sponge, Love Park incorporates innovative green infrastructure solutions that will retain rainwater runoff, replenish groundwater, and contribute to urban cooling. Love Park’s water story is further enhanced by its diverse landscape plan. The plant species featured in the park will create a resilient, self-sufficient, and durable landscape that requires less water for irrigation and maintenance. Lastly, Love Park delivers on romance. The pulse of the park is its central heart-shaped water feature—a universal symbol for love.

Note to attendees: Travel is not provided to or from the tour locations. Travel between sites will be coordinated on the day of (either uber or taxi). This tour will be hosted rain or shine!
