Come tour the Carrot Green Roof above Toronto's famous Big Carrot Community Market on the Danforth.
While the flowers may not be blooming you can learn about the history, unique features, challenges and successes of a garden on a roof. Special guest Sean from Crooked Farmz will join us to talk about rooftop soil media, compost tea and the importance of building healthy soils for healthy gardens.
Come gather your own sunflower seeds and we will open up our seed library for those who want to expand their garden next season.

Crooked Farmz is a Toronto-based microfarm producing small-batch composts and aerobic compost teas for microbial health in agriculture, horticulture, and arboriculture. We serve seasonal teas at local farmers' markets and garden centres, offer a compost tea CSA subscription service with 60+ members, and brew custom teas for professionals across the Greater Toronto Area and into the Greenbelt. We are entering our 7th season.
Our brewing operations take place primarily in our East York backyard microfarm, while our Downsview Park location hosts workshops, demonstration projects, and field days on topics related to composting, permaculture, and natural farming.
