The Green Roof Installation and Maintenance Professional (GRIMP) Training in will offer a hands-on opportunity to build practical skills in green roof installation and maintenance.
Developed by Green Roofs for Healthy Cities in collaboration with industry experts, this intensive program responds to the growing need for trained professionals capable of delivering high-quality, resilient green roof systems in urban environments.

This training is designed for general contractors, roofing consultants, property manager, engineers, maintenance staff, and anyone wanting to deepen their understanding of green roof systems.

Participants are introduced to the core principles of green roof systems, including installation techniques, waterproofing considerations, plant selection, and long-term maintenance strategies.
By the end of the training, participants will have the confidence and practical skills to support the installation and maintenance of extensive green roof systems, while also understanding best practices that ensure long-term performance and durability.

Green Roof Design & Installation is part one of the three-part Green Roof Professional (GRP) Training series. This course will provide you with the latest information on green roof benefits, technical standards, product innovations, and design and installation best practice. As a trainee, you will be presented with the tools and techniques needed to meet green roof project objectives on schedule, to specification, ad within budget. You will also gain insight into the latest industry developments, technical standards, and research findings.
